Flèche Wallonne starts tomorrow, Stephens top US finisher at Worlds Road Race
After a successful Tour d'Ardeche campaign in France that saw Lauren Stephens take first overall, Stephens continued to rack up some fantastic results at the UCI Elite World Championships in Imola, Italy, this past weekend.
Despite turning her focus entirely on road racing this season, Stephens still took an impressive ninth in the time trial and went on to take 11th in the road race, making her the top US finisher in the road race.
"My sights have been set on the 2021 Olympic Games," Stephens said of her rides at worlds. "I feel one step closer with my results at the World Championships."
Team TIBCO-Silicon Valley Bank is off to Belgium to take on the first of the Ardenne classics, La Flèche Wallonne Feminine, tomorrow afternoon (September 30). The race starts at 0840 CEST (2340 PST and 0240 EST).
