July 31, 2019 — Team TIBCO - Silicon Valley Bank has landed in England for one of the biggest races on the British cycling calendar: the Prudential RideLondon Classique, the next stop on the UCI Women’s World Tour. The one-day race, held this Saturday, August 3, covers a fast circuit of 3.4 kilometers in Central London, with key landmarks along the spectator-lined course to include St. James Park and Buckingham Palace.
The Team TIBCO - Silicon Valley Bank roster for RideLondon will be: Brodie Chapman (AUS), Alison Jackson (CAN), Nina Kessler (NED), Shannon Malseed (AUS), Rozanne Slik (NED) and Kendall Ryan (USA).
The spectator-friendly RideLondon course will feature 20 laps of a tight 3.4-kilometer circuit for a total of 68 kilometers. Starting and finishing on the Mall, the race will include four intermediate sprints and will be full-gas from the start. In 2016’s edition of the race, Kessler sprinted to second overall. Team TIBCO - Silicon Valley Bank’s sprint squad recently completed a successful week of racing at BC Superweek, scoring a total of eight victories and ten podiums.
“I’m looking forward to to RideLondon and bringing a strong team with multiple cards to play,” said Rachel Hedderman, Head Sports Director for Team TIBCO - Silicon Valley Bank. “Our sprinters had a very successful BC Superweek, and it will be great to continue that momentum into one of the calendar’s biggest races in an iconic location.”
Team TIBCO - Silicon Valley Bank will also be visiting with its title sponsors in London. TIBCO Software Inc. and Silicon Valley Bank are both headquartered in Silicon Valley and have major offices in London. Today, the team rode from Lee Valley Velopark to Cambridge with SVB and TIBCO customers, followed by a Q&A session and lunch. On Friday, the team will visit Silicon Valley Bank’s London office for a panel discussion with employees.
“We’re happy to have the opportunity to connect with our partners and their clients around the world,” said Linda Jackson, Founder of Team TIBCO - Silicon Valley Bank. “RideLondon is a special event with big crowds and a lot of energy - so it’s great to share the experience with our partners and offer a behind-the-scenes look at the race and what it takes to race bikes at the World Tour level.”
