Team TIBCO - Silicon Valley Bank of USA this week has announced a 2 year deal with Australian based sports tech firm Lumin Sports to lead the way in modernizing the female peloton.

In an effort to elevate women’s cycling globally, Lumin Sports will roll out its Phila and ARC solutions to specifically improve rider/team communication, improve rider health & wellbeing and to improve the decision-making process for team management.

Lumin Sports is no stranger to professional cycling currently working with a number of teams and programs globally including Team Dimension Data for Qhubeka and Cycling Australia. Lumin Sports prides itself on its inherent understanding of the sport to deliver better performance results by providing actionable insights to team management via the collection and analysis of athlete data and meaningful visualizations.

“We are very excited about this partnership with Team TIBCO Silicon Valley Bank, not only because we believe in the team’s ability to deliver on the world stage, but because of their strong desire to use technology to improve the team’s performance.

"We have seen first-hand how technology has changed the cycling landscape over the last decade, bringing the sport in line with many of the major sporting leagues around the world. Modern cycling teams who want to be at the top of the peloton will now need to consider adopting technology as a way to improve performances and keep their riders healthier for longer,” said Lumin Sports CEO, Ben Tripodi.

Team TIBCO - Silicon Valley Bank has had a great start to the season with multiple podiums across Australia and the U.S and consistently strong results in the Women’s World Tour.

“Women’s cycling has been on an incredible trajectory”, said Linda Jackson, the team’s Founder and General Manager. “Lumin Sports provides the technology that is needed to further professionalize the sport. Team TIBCO - Silicon Valley Bank races around the globe now with athletes from eight different countries. Lumin’s technology will enable us to proactively monitor our athletes’ well-being and optimize roster selections. We are a Silicon Valley-based team with two title sponsors also headquartered in Silicon Valley (TIBCO Software Inc. and Silicon Valley Bank), so using technology to maximize our performance is a natural fit for us."
