In three separate races today, Team TIBCO - Silicon Valley Bank had a successful start to the weekend: Kendall Ryan (USA) won the Armed Forces Cycling Classic’s Crystal Cup, Lauren Stephens (USA) scored a gravel victory at the Dirty Kanza 100 and Emily Newsom claimed a top 10 finish at the LOTTO Thüringen Ladies Tour.

“It felt great to deliver a win today and feel that speed back in my legs,” said Ryan. “The team did a solid job covering moves, and we’re excited to race again tomorrow and go for more results at the Clarendon Cup. It’s one of my favorite courses - fast and technical.”

The Armed Forces Cycling Classic’s Clarendon Cup will be streamed live in a pay-per-view broadcast, which will include highlights from the Crystal Cup and interviews with the riders. Dirty Kansa DK100
Lauren Stephens powered through the gravel roads of Kansas for a victory at the Dirty Kansa DK100. One of the biggest events on the gravel calendar, Dirty Kansa offers both 100 mile and 200 mile races, where each rider must carry everything they need, and prepare for all kinds of terrain: rocks, gravel and creek-crossings. In the 100-mile race, Stephens was the first female and the 2nd rider overall.

LOTTO Thüringen Ladies Tour

At the LOTTO Thüringen Ladies Tour, Emily Newsom placed in the top 10 in today’s individual time trial, the 5th stage of the race. The team heads into the final stage tomorrow, a road race that can be followed on Twitter using #LTLT19.
