Packing in five races in April, Silicon Valley Bank is ready for their next event: Sunday’s Liège-Bastogne-Liège, the team’s third World Tour race in one week. Once again, it will be Alison Jackson (CAN), Nina Kessler (NED), Shannon Malseed (AUS), Rozanne Slik (NED) and Lauren Stephens (USA) lining up for the third and final race of the Ardennes Classics.
The 138.5-kilometer course features undulating terrain, with five classified climbs, three in the last portion of the race: the Côte de la Vecquée, La Redoute and Roche-aux-Faucons. “It’s a new finish this year,” said Ruud Verhagen, Sports Director for Team TIBCO - Silicon Valley Bank. “Without the uphill climb into Ans at the end of the race, it will be a different race than last year’s edition. But we will make a plan that will hopefully work out well for us.”
In last year’s Liège-Bastogne-Liège, Jackson finished in the top 20, and together with the team will be looking to improve and continue to build on the momentum achieved thus far in the Spring Classics, with two top ten finishes in the last two races.
