After a successful triple race weekend last week, with the Redlands Bicycle Classic, Ronde van Drenthe and the Oceania Road Championships, Team TIBCO - Silicon Valley Bank is back in Italy for the next edition of the Women’s World Tour: Trofeo Alfredo Binda — Comune di Cittiglio. Team TIBCO - Silicon Valley Bank’s roster for Trofeo Alfredo Binda is: Brodie Chapman (AUS), Ingrid Drexel (MEX), Alison Jackson (CAN), Kendall Ryan (USA), Rozanne Slik (NED) and Lauren Stephens (USA).
The hilly 131.3-kilometer course starts this Sunday, March 24, and will feature much more climbing than in the previous rounds of the World Tour. The course brings together a host of elements: winding mountain roads, steep, punchy climbs, longer ascents and a flatter section into the finish. Each lap of the 17.8-kilometer finishing circuits around the town of Cittiglio include a climb through Orino before finally concluding downtown amidst crowded streets lined with spectators.
“We’re happy to have Brodie back with the team after her bout with illness the last few races, and to bolster the roster with Lauren joining the European squad,” said Linda Jackson, Founder of Team TIBCO - Silicon Valley Bank. “The Spring Classics are challenging races, and we’ve been pleased to see riders like Alison Jackson continually being in the mix when it counts. And for those of us at home in the USA, it’s great to have live coverage so our community can follow the race.”
