Celebrating Girls and Women in Sport
It's National Girls and Women in Sport Day! As the longest-running professional women's cycling team in North America, today is a special day to celebrate the many achievements in our sport - for women of all ages, level and ability.
Our team is committed to empowering women to achieve their dreams in the professional peloton - even the Olympic Games. And we also aim to inspire others to achieve theirs - whether in cycling, in the office or in another sport. The photo above shows Kendall Ryan and Lex Albrecht, who took a moment to chat with a young rider along the course at the Colorado Classic.
For its 2019 edition, the Colorado Classic is further demonstrating its commitment to women's cycling by becoming the only women's stand-alone UCI stage race in the Western Hemisphere. This bold move will provide a dynamic platform to women's cycling, with live video streaming each day, on-demand replays, and coverage on Facebook Live and the race's Tour Tracker mobile app.
With prize money almost 4x greater than last year's event and financial support to help teams participate in the race, it will be an exciting four days of racing, drawing some of the best female teams and cyclists from around the world.
We've been proud to roll to the line at the Colorado Classic, and this year will be no exception. The third annual Colorado Classic will be held in the challenging terrain of Colorado on August 22-25, 2019. [Learn More]
