Team TIBCO - Silicon Valley Bank scored four podium spots at the Colorado Classic and a top 10 finish at the UCI World Tour race, the Ladies Tour of Norway, this past weekend. Racing two events simultaneously, the riders of Team TIBCO - Silicon Valley Bank were able to pull off excellent results, with Kendall Ryan (USA) scoring a victory on the final stage of the Colorado Classic and Alison Jackson (CAN) securing her best result in a UCI World Tour race yet: 9th place at the Ladies Tour of Norway.

“These results show the depth of our team and reenforce our decision to pursue more of the UCI World Tour calendar this year,” said Linda Jackson, Founder of Team TIBCO - Silicon Valley Bank. “I’m proud of what the team has accomplished so far this year, and am looking forward to focusing even more on the WWT races in the coming season.”

At the Tour of Colorado, Lex Albrecht (CAN) sprinted to 2nd, with Kendall Ryan in third on the opening stage in Vail, a technical course that featured a short, punchy gravel climb immediately after the start. The team backed these results up with Kendall’s 2nd place in the criterium on Stage 3, and victory on the final day of the event.

“It feels really good to be back on the top step after my crash in London,” said Kendall Ryan. “The crash felt like a huge blow to the momentum I had built up throughout the season, but performing better in every road stage of the Colorado Classic helped prove to myself that I’ve got my mojo back. I’m excited to join my teammates in Belgium soon for the Lotto Tour.”

Meanwhile, in Norway, Alison Jackson scored consistently good results throughout the Ladies Tour of Norway, fiercely fighting her way into the front pack in each race. Her top 10 finish, 9th in the general classification, marks her highest result in a UCI WWT race.

“I've been hunting all year for a top 10 WWT finish,” said Alison Jackson. “I'm really happy with how consistently I rode throughout the tough three stages to finish 9th overall. It was a really hard tour with a lot of wind, including one day of extreme wind and rain that tore the peloton apart.

“Everyday was about survival, and I would not have survived as long as I did without my teammates who committed to doing the work for me so that I would make the final selection each day. I could not have had the result I did without Ingrid Drexel hanging in the race as long as she could piloting me around the bunch.”

Next up: the team will be racing the next event on the UCI World Tour Calendar: Grand Prix Plouay in the North of France.
