Next Up: Team TIBCO - Silicon Valley Bank Lines up for the Alabama Cycling Classic

April 5, 2018

Pescadero, CA, April 5, 2018 -- Team TIBCO - SiliconValley Bank will be competing in the Alabama Cycling Classic this weekend, starting with the Sunny King Criterium on Saturday night and the Piedmont Road Race on Sunday. With live streaming and accompanying Noble Street Festival, it will be a great weekend of racing for the team and spectators.

The team roster for the race will be: Nicolle Bruderer, Emily Newsom and Kendall Ryan.

Last year, Kendall Ryan placed third in the Sunny King Criterium and fought her way into the winning breakaway in the road race. “It’s great to be back here in the US to race after racing some of the Spring Classics races in Europe this past month,” said Ryan. “The Alabama Cycling Classic is such a fun race - great crowds, courses and a live stream that makes it easy for my friends and family back in California to cheer me on.”

Patricia Schwager, who will be the Team Director for the event, said, “We’re looking forward to a dynamic race and putting on a good show. With some of the team still in Europe, we’re bringing a small but powerful group of riders who are excited about this chance to have some great crowds and live coverage of the event.”

With its fast downhill section and finishing hill, the Sunny King Criterium is always exciting to watch. The Piedmont Road Race will cover just 39.4 miles and 2,342 feet of climbing.

Schedule of events for the professional women:

Saturday, April 7 - 6:20pm EST - Sunny King Criterium

Sunday, April 8 - 9:05am EST - Piedmont Road Race

Watch the race live on the event website.
