Back in the U.S. for the Joe Martin Stage Race

After finishing a tough block of European racing, Team TIBCO – Silicon Valley Bank has returned to the U.S. to begin a three-month block of U.S. racing including several UCI races and Amgen’s Break Away from Heart Disease (WWT race), a 4-day, 4-stage professional men and women's cycling race. First up is the UCI rated Joe Martin Stage Race, a four-day race beginning Thursday March 30th. Having had plenty of success at this event in the past years, the team is eager to show what they can do this year. The race starts with a short but steep individual time trial in Devils Den State Park near Fayetteville, Arkansas. Two tough road race stages follow, and the last day is a technical criterium. This will be the debut race for two of the team’s riders, Guatemalan Nicolle Bruderer and our youngest rider, Madeleine Park from New Zealand. Sports Director Ed Beamon commented “I am excited to have Madeleine Park and Nicky Bruderer joining us for their first race with the team and we are looking forward to a very competitive opening to the North American race schedule. These upcoming American races are very important to us and I think we have a very strong team lined up for Joe Martin. The opening TT is a tough test with its steep pitches and constant grind. We'll need to set a high bar in that opening stage but I am confident this team is well prepared and we will keep the pressure on the whole race. Sunday's criterium is always an exciting finale and the race won’t be over until the line is crossed in Fayetteville." Team TIBCO – Silicon Valley Bank roster: Nicolle Bruderer (GTM) Kate Buss (USA) Ingrid Drexel (MEX) Heather Fischer (USA) Madeleine Park (NZL) Kendall Ryan (USA) Lauren Stephens (USA) Brianna Walle (USA)
