Valley of the Sun: Successful Finish to Training Camp for Team TIBCO-Silicon Valley Bank

Team TIBCO-Silicon Valley Bank successfully finished off their training camp today with a second victory at the Valley of the Sun Stage Race.

Kendall Ryan capped off a great lead-out to win the criterium on wet downtown roads in Phoenix.

The major move of the day was a solo break from Lauren Stephens which lasted several laps but came to an end with five laps to go. This break made other teams chase Lauren as she was sitting fourth on overall classification heading into the stage.

The Team started their lead-out with five kilometers to go, controlled the rest of the race and provided a great lead out for Ryan to take the win with Heather Fischer taking 3rd.

Leah Thomas took the general classification (G.C). Claire Rose (2nd in G.C) did not start due to illness, so Team TIBCO - Silicon Valley Bank riders Brianna Walle and Lauren Stephens moved up to 2nd and 3rd overall.

Kendall Ryan: “Today was really great. We have been practicing our teamwork and communications at camp and today everyone did a great job. It all came together with the win as planned.”
