// Q&A with Lauren

Why cycling?

Endurance sport has always been my passion. Cycling has been a part of my life for 10yrs. I’ve found love, friendships and drive to be great. So why NOT cycling?

What's your motivation (even when the weather's tough)?

I want to be the best I can be. The tough days are the days that make you stronger.

Favorite ride:

It may sound cheesy but any ride with husband Mat. We push each other to work harder and achieve our goals.

2019 goals:

Train hard, race hard, and perform to my own expectations.

When not riding, I like to...:

I spend time with my family. I also love cooking. I take a bunch of recipes and combine them to make what my husband calls Lauren’s Creations.

Favorite warmup song:

I warm-up in silence. This is my way of focusing and visualizing my race.

Favorite post-ride food:

Smoothie with some tasty granola. It’s like ice cream but better for you!!

Any advice to future // aspiring cyclists?

Train harder than you race. Love what you do!!
