Team TIBCO-Silicon Valley Bank is the longest running professional women’s cycling team in North America.  Since 2004, the team’s mission has been to help aspiring female cyclists achieve their dreams of becoming top International competitors.  The team has had numerous riders named to Olympic and World Championship squads and has produced several national champions.

Gigante wins virtual Tour of the Gila

Depending on where you are in the world, COVID-19 restrictions are slowly relaxing. Businesses are re-opening, and outdoor exercise is encouraged while maintaining social distance. Most of our riders on Team TIBCO-Silicon Valley Bank can now train outside in small groups, based on their location. With the race season still on hold, the team has taken up eRacing, and they're dominating the scene from inside their homes. This weekend, Team TIBCO-Silicon Valley Bank swept the Virtual Tour of the Gila podium, with Sarah Gigante taking the overall win, Lauren Stephen second and Kristen Faulkner third. Last week, Team TIBCO-Silicon Valley Bank virtually came together to win the series classification at Zwift Tour for All, a five-day stage eRace held on a variety of courses using the Zwift racing platform. The team also took home several podium spots, with Leah Dixon claiming first place on stage 4 - the Sands and Sequoias route of Zwift’s Watopia world. “The camaraderie has been my favorite part of this week,” Dixon said. “I’ve really missed that. A rejection from Washington State's Artist Diploma program, a program specifically designed for musicians to pursue a career as a performing artist, left Emily Joy Newsom crushed. Everything, her entire world, passions, emotions, wrapped around the piano. Her life had reached a turning point, though it would be years before that was clear. A career as a musician was put on hold. At that point, her spirit needed to be liberated, so she turned to the challenging and rewarding world of running, a place where she said she found peace and fulfillment. How about having a goal on the horizon to motivate you to get fit? Join us and Silicon Valley Bank as we get ready for Best Buddies International events on September 12 (Carmel to Hearst Castle) and September 26 (Hyannis Port/Boston)! More info here. In place of outdoor group training rides to help people get ready for these events, we are holding Zwift training rides Tuesdays and Thursdays at 4 pm PST and Saturday at 8 am PST.
