Valley of the Sun: Successful Finish to Training Camp for Team TIBCO-Silicon Valley Bank

Team TIBCO-Silicon Valley Bank successfully finished off their training camp today with a second victory at the Valley of the Sun Stage Race. Kendall Ryan capped off a great lead-out to win the criterium on wet downtown roads in Phoenix. The major move of the day was a solo break from Lauren Stephens which lasted several laps but came to an end with five laps to go. This break made other teams chase Lauren as she was sitting fourth on overall classification heading into the stage. The Team started their lead-out with five kilometers to go, controlled the rest of the race and provided a great lead out for Ryan to take the win with Heather Fischer taking 3rd. Brianna Walle and Lauren Stephens finish 3rd and 4th in the opening Time Trial Team TIBCO – Silicon Valley Bank wraps up its training camp this weekend with the three day Valley of the Sun Stage Race. After extensive wind-tunnel testing yesterday at FASTER wind-tunnel in Scottsdale, Arizona ( http://www.ride-faster.com/wind-tunnel ), Brianna Walle and Lauren Stephens took 3rd and 4th places respectively in today’s opening time trial. 1st year Pro Kate Buss had a good ride in her first outing with the team to come in 8th place. The Valley of the Sun (VOS) Stage race (Phoneix, Arizona) will be the first chance for our riders to show off their new kit in competition. VOS takes place from February 17 – 19, 2017 and includes a time trial, a road race and a criterium. Having just undergone wind tunnel testing at FASTER in Scottsdale, Arizona ( http://www.ride-faster.com/wind-tunnel ), riders will use the opening time trial to continue to dial in their time trial positions on their Fuji Norcom TT bikes outfitted with edco wheels. Team TIBCO-Silicon Valley Bank announces 2017 Roster as it enters 13th season Powerhouses Lauren Stephens and Brianna Walle return to the squad for 2017. The 2017 boasts the addition of seven new team riders and international talents, along with the return of five strongholds.
