Q&A with Jenelle:
Why cycling?:
I love how cycling can be so many things, social, competitive, challenging, fun, and a way to be free...
What's your motivation/inspiration (especially on a tough weather day)?
Knowing that I’ll be a step closer to achieving my goals, and the satisfaction of getting home from a really tough ride!
Favorite ride:
Springbrook on the Gold Coast, or anywhere riding with good friends.
Career highlight:
Winning two U23 general classifications in 2015, in my second time racing in Europe. I really surprised myself and it helped kick start my riding even further.
2020 goals:
To transition smoothly back into the pro peloton after having 2019 at home! Also focus on getting some good individual and team results.
When not riding, I like to...:
I enjoy going to the beach! Going to Pilates class with mum, or simply spending time with friends and family.
Favorite warmup song:
Depends on my mood, can be anything from ABBA – Taylor Swift
Favorite post-ride food:
Nice big Sandwich and a smoothie
Any advice to future / aspiring cyclists?
Always make sure you’re enjoying yourself!
Little known fact...:
I have a black belt in Taekwondo.
